- If sealcoating hasn’t been completed in a while, we generally apply two coats of sealer. If regular sealcoating has been completed, one coat is generally sufficient. We will determine the best course of action for your project during inspection.
- We can only apply sealcoat if there is no rain forecasted for 24 hours post-application. This means that sprinkler systems must be shut off for a full 24 hours, as well.
- Temperatures must be 50 degrees or higher during application and for 48 hours after.
- Storm drain barriers may need to be used to protect drainage into the sewers and to keep the sealcoat in place.
- We’ll complete the project as early as possible to allow for ample curing time before the cooler evening temps.
- The layer needs to be allowed to cure for at least 24 hours before allowing foot or vehicle traffic on it.
- We recommend keeping the new sealcoating swept clean for the first week after application.
